By Kabiraj Ghimire, Hile, March 14: A dry landslide has obstructed the Bhedetar–Rajarani–Raviranke road section, following continuous debris fall since Friday morning.
The landslide occurred at Labhdanda along the Bhedetar–Thumki section, blocking the road in around a 100-metre stretch.
With the road blocked, transportation to the upper region of Chaubise Rural Municipality and the western part of Panchthar District has been completely disrupted.
The landslide site lies around 2.5 kilometres from Bhedetar.
Chairperson of Chaubise Rural Municipality Jitendra Rai said that efforts were underway to clear the landslide, but the task has been delayed due to continuous debris fall.
He said that although the necessary equipment has been kept ready, the clearing work has not been possible because the landslide is still active.
Rai urged travellers to use alternative routes, including the Dada Bazaar–Budhimorang–Mulghat road and the Rajarani–Kerabari road.
