Last rites of Chair Oli's father Mohan Prasad performed
By TRN Online, Kathamanu: The last rites of late Mohan Prasad Oli have been performed at Pashupati Aryaghat as per the Vedic traditions. He passed away at 97 years old on Friday morning.
Son of the deceased, Chairman of the CPN (UML), placed the funeral pyre on the mouth.
Leaders and cadres have reached Pashupathinath to pay homage. Mohan Prasad Oli was staying at his daughter's residence in Gatthaghar. He was rushed to the hospital last night after he developed health problems.
The UML Secretariat said that he passed away during treatment at the hospital.
Late Oli is survived by two sons and three daughters.
