Pun, the founder of the National Innovation Centre, said he went to Pokhara to raise financial resources for the organisation. On the first day alone, he sold around 800 books and earned about Rs. 600,000.
According to Pun, the book sales are aimed at collecting funds to operate an agricultural tools factory in Birgunj through the National Innovation Centre.
A large crowd gathered in Pokhara to buy books from Pun. He said he would continue selling books in Pokhara for a few days, making productive use of his spare time.
He said, “After winning the election, I have a few days of free time."
The final nationwide results have not yet been announced. Although the final results of the direct elections have come, the proportional representation vote counting is still ongoing.
Only after all the results are out will the oath-taking and parliamentary meeting likely take place. So I decided to use this free time to sell books.”
He added that he earned around Rs. 600,000 on the first day through book sales.
For the past three years, Pun has been selling his autobiography to raise the necessary funds to operate the agricultural tools factory in Birgunj through the National Innovation Centre, which he founded.
