RSP’s Sushil Khadka elected from Baglung-1

By Arjun Kafle, Baglung, March 7: Sushil Khadka of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has been elected as a Member of the House of Representatives from Baglung Constituency-1.

According to the Office of the Chief Election Officer, Baglung, Khadka secured 20,927 votes, winning by a margin of 8,983 votes.

His competitors included Bhim Bahadur Shrees Rana of the Nepali Congress, who received 11,944 votes, and Hira Bahadur KC of the CPN-UML, who secured 8,640 votes.

Additionally, Krishna Prasad Sharma Adhikari of the Rastriya Janamorcha obtained 4,521 votes. A total of 1,871 votes were invalid.

Baglung-1 has 95,335 registered voters, and 48,932 votes were cast in the election.
