UML's Rai taking lead in Banke-2
By Siraj Khan, Nepalgunj, March 6: Mohammad Istiyak Rai, the candidate
of CPN (UML) for the HoR election from Banke-2, has taken lead with a wide
margin in the vote count.
According to the Chief Election Officer's Office, Nepalgunj, Rai has
got 6,632 of the total counted 19,491 votes. His nearest follower, Sudhanshu
Koirala of Nepali Congress has got 5919 votes.
Bibek Shrestha of RSP has got 4186, Rishi Devkota of RPP has got 219
and Dipendra Bista has got 307 votes.
