By Shaigram Nepal, Chitwan, March 6: Rabi Lamichhane, candidate of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, has maintained his lead in the latest vote count of Chitwan Constituency.
According to the latest results, Lamichhane has secured 2,801 votes, while Ashmin Ghimire of the CPN (UML) has received 1,259 votes.
Similarly, Meena Kharel of the Nepali Congress has obtained 916 votes, while Pratap Gurung of the Nepali Communist Party has secured 1,156 votes.
Vote counting in this constituency began with ballots from Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality. Gurung, who is a resident of the same rural municipality, appears to have received strong support there. Lamichhane has also secured a notable number of votes from the area.
As vote counting moves toward the urban areas of the constituency, Lamichhane of the Rastriya Swatantra Party is expected to further strengthen his lead.
