Bhimad–Masardanda road section to be closed for eight days

By Amar Raj Naharki, Tanahun, Feb 24: The  Bhimad–Masardanda road section will remain completely closed for eight days due to blacktopping work.

According to a notice issued by Bhimad Municipality, the road section from Keule under Siddha Cave to the junction leading to Masardanda will be closed from Feburray 23 to March 2.

Chief Administrative Officer Kamal Prasad Pun said that vehicular movement has been halted to ensure the construction work is completed safely and to ensure quality.

“As blacktopping work is underway, operating vehicles would pose a risk of accidents. Therefore, the road section has been completely closed for the specified period,” he said.

According to him, the blacktopping work is being carried out at a fast pace through the construction company to complete the project within the stipulated timeframe.

He requested locals and travelers to use alternative routes during the closure period.

Information Officer Tekawati Dhakal said that approximately one kilometer of road is being blacktopped under the Bhimad Municipal Pride Project. This road connects ward 7 and 9 of Bhimad Municipality.

Dhakal said, “Residents of this area will benefit from a dust-free and smooth road service. The project is being constructed at a cost of around NPR 10 million under the municipal pride initiative.”

The blacktopping work is being carried out by Eco Zone Architect and Construction Private Limited, Pokhara.
