blog

Rajbiraj, Feb 22: Chairman of the Janata Samajbadi Party Nepal, Upendra Yadav, has said once Madhes Province is strong, it helps in reinforcing federal system.

In his address to an election publicity programme at Pathargadha of Dakneshwor municipality, Saptari on Sunday, Chairman Yadav asserted that Madhes is the provenance of federalism because it had initiated and spearheaded the struggles and movements for federal system in Nepal.

"Efforts are underway to curtail province's rights and concentrate power in centre, which is against federal spirit," he said, adding that it would not be successful because Madhes is alert and active against such machination.

Chairman Yadav, who is also a candidate for the March 5 House of Representatives election from constituency no 3 of Sapatari, urged everyone concerned to remain alert to foil the attempts against federalism. The country is enjoying the federal system all because of Madhes' resolute stand, so Madhes must be further stronger, he underscored.(RSS)
