Kathmandu, Feb 18: Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development, Dr Madan Pariyar, has said government had aimed at increasing production through modern agricultural practices, which, he argued, would ensure better income to farmers as well.
During a programme on half-yearly review of ministry activities on Tuesday, Minister Pariyar informed that service centres would be expanded and strengthened for building agriculture and livestock sector as a backbone of economic progress.
So far, the ministry recorded 55 percent current expenditure and 12 percent capital expenditure. The Minister directed the subordinates to implement budget as per timeline.
Time has come for realizing tech and climate-smart agriculture for agricultural entrepreneurship, Minister Pariyar said, adding that robust inter-agency cooperation and partnership is vital for effective mobilization of resources.(RSS)
