By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Feb.17: One has been arrested in possession of two kilograms, 900 grams of silver from the Nagdhunga check post of Chandragiri Municipality-2 of Kathmandu district.
According to the District Police Office Range, Kathmandu, the silver was recovered from the bus (Ba Pra 01-006 Kha 5529) en route from Birgunj to Kathmandu while checking the bus at 4 AM on Tuesday.
The onboard passenger on the bus, 17-year-old Aashu Shrab of Pheta Rural Municipality-6, was taken under control by the joint team of Nagdhunga Police Division and Narcotics Control Bureau(NCB) following the incident.
The silver worth Rs 1,214,500 was recovered in a state of hiding by warping under a white plastic inside a black bag of the Shrab.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Pawan Kumar Bhattarai, also spokesperson of the District Police Range, Kathmandu, said that the alleged accused has been sent to the Tribhuvan International Airport Customs Office for further investigation.
