By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Feb 8: England defeated Nepal by 4 runs in T-20 World Cup match played at Wankhede Stadium , Mumbai today.
England won the toss and elected to bat first and set a target of 185 runs in the scoreboard in the 20 overs. However, despite putting all the effort, Nepali side scored 180 runs all the way to the last ball of the match losing its 6 wickets.
Jacob Bethell scored 55 runs, Captain Harry Brook scored 53 runs, Will Jacks scored 39 runs.
Dipendra Singh Airee and Nandan Yadav took 2 wickets each. Sher Malla and Sandeep Lamichhane took 1 wickets each.
Chasing the target, Dipendra Singh Aairee scored 44 runs, Captain Rohit Paudel scored 39 runs, Lokesh Bam 39 scored runs.
Meanwhile, the support of the Nepali fans to the national cricket fans remains unparrellel through the game . The fans cheered the team with inciting zeal and boost the spirit of the team in the Wankhede Cricket Stadium through out the game.
