Govt to mark Democracy Day for three days

Kathmandu, Feb 5: The government on Thursday decided to mark this year's Democracy Day in a grand manner for three days.

The Democracy Day will be marked for three days on March 18, 19 and 20.     

A meeting presided over by Prime Minister Sushila Karki decided to mark Democracy Day for three days, forming the main organizing committee.     

The Prime Minister will chair the main organizing committee, while ministers, all mayors of the Kathmandu Valley, the Chief Secretary of the government, the Chief of Army Staff, secretaries of the government and chiefs of the security bodies have been named as members of the committee. The Secretary of the Home Ministry will serve as the member-secretary of the main organizing committee

As per the decision, different programmes will be conducted across the country for three days and in Nepal's diplomatic missions abroad.(RSS)
