By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Jan. 10: A one-day Bookhill Bookanza is set to take place in Pokhara on Saturday.
The Bookhill Publication, Kathmandu, is hosting the event in collaboration with the Random Readers Society, Pokhara.
Under the slogan 'A Festival of Books and Ideas,' the event will bring together renowned prose writers, poets, and analysts. It is informed that the event will feature seven sessions.
A press release issued on Friday by Bookhill Chairperson Bhupendra Khadka read that the event would strengthen the bond between writers and readers and would intensify intellectual discourse. "We are going to celebrate a festival of books and ideas in Pokhara," he said. "We believe such debates and discussions will further elevate the reading culture."
The opening session will feature a discussion between writers Saurabh and Ekanta Sharma. This will be followed by the session 'Swako Mahayug' in which novelists Saraswati Pratiksha and Seema Avas will discuss.
The programme will also include the launch of 'Yali,' a novel by Nishprav Saji. In the session titled 'Nibandhako Ujyalo (The Light of the Essays), Roshan Sherchan and Bhupin will converse.
Similarly, poet Nadish will present a solo poetry recitation under the title 'Nadeeshko Layama Hiud.' In the session 'Paidil Ra Paitala', cyclist Pushkar Shah and writer Ganesh Paudel will hold an engaging discussion.
The concluding session will feature 'Bookhill Ballads,' a musical presentation in which singer Binod Baniya, along with a musical ensemble, will perform songs written by Sarubhakta and Tirtha Shrestha.
The event will also host book stalls, author–reader interactions, and book-signing sessions.
