By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Dec. 8: Acting Chief Election Commissioner Ram Prasad Bhandari has called on all stakeholders, including political parties, voters, civil society and government bodies, to ensure the success of the election scheduled for March 5, 2026.
Talking to a team of The Rising Nepal and Gorkhapatra Daily on Sunday, Bhandari said that it was the shared responsibility of everyone to make the election a success.
He added that over 60 per cent of the preparations have already been completed, with the Election Commission having finalised the managerial arrangements, mobilising necessary resources and moving ahead with their implementation.
Highlighting the involvement of the young voters, Bhandari stated that many young voters, previously less aware of electoral processes and politics, have enthusiastically registered on the voters’ list.
He also urged citizens not to doubt the credibility of the election, emphasising that it would be conducted in free, fair and transparent manner.
He also informed that the Commission is carrying out comprehensive voter education programmes to encourage active participation and reduce invalid votes.
