Cabinet Decisions: ID card to families of Gen-Z martyrs; Gen Z Day on Bhadra 23

Kathmandu, Dec 1: The government has decided to provide identity card with photograph to the martyrs' families of the Gen Z protest.     

As decided by the council of ministers on Monday, such identity card would be provided to mother, father, husband, wife, unmarried son and daughter.     

A cabinet meeting held at the Singha Durbar took the decision to this effect, shared Spokesperson of the government and Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Jagadish Kharel.     

Similarly, decision was also taken to observe Gen Z Martyr Day on Bhadra 23 every year. The government decided to use financial institutions or banking channel while buying and selling services and goods or other transactions worth more than Rs 500,000 at a time from coming January 15.     

Likewise, the government has decided to provide financial aid of 200,000 US dollars to Sri Lanka, where massive floods and landslide caused huge damages, added Minister Kharel.     

Prof Gyan Bahadur Thapa has been appointed as the Secretary of the University Grants Commission, and Dr Kumar Sharma Acharya as the Chairperson of the Press Council Nepal.     

The Carbon Trading Regulation, 2082 has been approved by the government, Minister Kharel said.     

Joint Secretary Baikuntha Prasad Aryal has been promoted to the post of Secretary.(RSS)
