Driver injured in road mishap

By Amrit Prasad Poudel, Myagdi, Dec 1: The driver has sustained injuries when a truck met with an accident on the Ghumaune Hill bordering Beni Municipality-4 and Mangala Rural Municipality-2 on the Beni-Darwang road section.

Police Inspector Sagar Timilsina of the District Police Office, Myagdi, said that the truck carrying cement from Bhairahawa to Malika Rural Municipality-6 in Myagdi met with an accident on Sunday night.

The driver, Govinda Bahadur Khamcha, aged 34, of  Madanpokhara, Tansen Municipality-8, Palpa, got injured in the accident. The injured person was rescued last night and is currently undergoing treatment at the Provincial Hospital in Beni, according to police.

The cement in a truck carrying 340 bags of cement has sunk into the river.
