
By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Nov 29: A vibrant Cultural Fest of the Primary Wing was celebrated with grandeur at the premises of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Embassy of India ( EOI) in Kathmandu today.

According to the press release issued by Kendriya Vidyalaya, the event unfolded in the presence of the Chief Guest from the Embassy of India, Kathmandu and other distinguished dignitaries, who inaugurated the program by lighting the ceremonial lamp, marking a harmonious blend of tradition and cultural fervor.

The venue shimmered under a regal canopy of tricolor balloon décor, embroidered elegantly with red, white and blue drapes that lent an inspiring aesthetic to the stage. Young learners, resplendent in a spectrum of traditional attires inspired by Indian and Nepali heritage, showcased mesmerizing performances including classical and folk dance sequences, devotional gestures, rhythmic percussion acts and theatrical representations. Their confident expressions, disciplined presentation and heartfelt enthusiasm were testimony to the school’s commitment towards nurturing cultural roots from an early age.

One of the major highlights was the elegant folk ensemble by young artists dressed in vibrant red-black ghaghra choli and ethnic headgear, performing intricate choreography that drew continuous applause. Another striking segment saw students portraying cultural symbols and devotional moods with folded-hand salutations, reflecting unity and reverence.

Addressing the gathering, the school’s Principal, A . Jerald commended the efforts of teachers, students and parents for transforming the celebration into a memorable cultural tapestry. The Chief Guest applauded the school for strengthening India-Nepal cultural ties through such immersive activities, encouraging young minds to remain rooted in heritage while embracing global learning.

The fest concluded with a solemn vote of thanks, followed by a collective photograph capturing smiling faces—symbols of promise, pride and cultural unity. The program proved to be a vivid celebration of diversity, creativity and shared traditions, leaving an indelible impression on all in attendance.
