By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Nov. 29: The Ujyalo Nepal Party, a fresh entrant in Nepal's political landscape, will mark its official launch by organising an assembly in Kathmandu on December 3.
Organising a press conference on Friday, Spokesperson, Raju Thapa, said that the party would hold a declaration assembly at Nepal Academy from 1 pm to 4 pm on December 3 in the presence of Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Physical Infrastructure and Transport and Urban Development Kul Man Ghising.
He said that the long-term vision, main goals and the manifesto of the Ujyalo Nepal Party-2082 would be formally made public at the event.
The party's theoretical perspective, priorities and action plan will be made public, stated a press statement distributed on Friday.
The main slogan of the Ujyalo Nepal Party is "Ujyalo Nepal, for a Bright Future", which, Thapa said, would reflect the country's political, economic, and social transformation as a single common national goal.
"We are not just another new party among many. We have the leadership, efficiency and experience to realise the dream of a bright future," he said, "Our leadership is trusted by ordinary Nepali people--not proven by words, but by actions."
The Ujyalo Nepal Party is willing to collaborate with new and alternative political parties, associations, organisations, stakeholder groups and individuals who have similar thinking and vision.
It has called on them to unite through result-oriented dialogue to institutionalise the achievements gained from the Gen-Z movement and build a prosperous nation.
The leaders present at the press conference said that the party would move forward by embracing democratic socialism.
They said that the party would move ahead, keeping in mind the constitutional and political stability.
Meanwhile, the Ujyalo Nepal Party has announced an open call for aspiring candidates to contest the upcoming House of Representatives elections scheduled for March 5, 2026.
According to the party, individuals interested in securing a party nomination must submit their applications by December 15, 2025.
Party spokesperson Thapa said that applications are being accepted from individuals who are qualified, capable, with a clean public image, and a clear and effective roadmap for building a bright future for the nation.
The party has also instructed applicants to mention the constituency they wish to contest the election.
Thapa added that while selecting candidates, the party would give priority to those who can demonstrate a strong vision and comprehensive plan for creating a “Bright Nepal.”
