'Infrastructures for rural health, education in focus'

Karnali, Nov 26: Minister for Social Development in Karnali Province, Ghanashyam Bhandari, has said province government was focused on building infrastructures for expanding health and educational services at local levels. 

Inaugurating a 15-bed municipal hospital at Devsthal of Bangad Kupinde municipality-1 in Salyan district on Tuesday, Minister Bhandari viewed it was essential to build infrastructures for better health and education in the rural area. It further helps in checking the increasing out-migration. He informed that medical officers weer mobilized at local levels.

All local levels of Salyan and Rukum Paschim districts had the medical officers except at Darma rural municipality of Salyan. 

On a different note, the Minister urged people's representatives at the local levels to ensure public accountability and smooth service delivery. 

Karnali Province Assembly member and former Minister Bhim Prakash Sharma expressed gratitude to the Province government for its support in managing medical officers at local levels. He also vowed support for upgrading the hospital.

Mayor Karna Bahadur Budhathoki expressed happiness over the realization of running a 15-bed hospital in the municipality, which, he argued, will end the hassles. (RSS)
