Six thousand additional voters in Nawalparasi

By Bikash Adhikari, West Nawalparasi, Nov 25: Additional 6000 voters have been registered in the voter list in West Nawalparasi for the election of the House of Representatives to be held in March 5.

In the duration of 26 September to 21 November, 6,140 new voters have registered their names in the voter list in the District Election Office, Parasi. 

The newly registered voter list included 3,235 males and 2,904 females and one other.  

The Information Officer, of the District Election Office, Karan Chauhan informed that 156  have made corrections in the updated detail and 464 changed the address. 

Similarly, 5,380 have applied for the voter registration through National ID (NID) via online. 

 “Half of the application have been verified, few are not yet approved due to mismatch in the detail, however the detail will soon be acquired”, Chauhan said. 

In the district, additional ten thousand voters will be added once online application is approved.
