I am trying my best to deliver as per Gen Z spirit: Minister Kharel

Charikot, Nov 23: The Shree Kalinag Secondary School in Dolakha has felicitated Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Jagdish Kharel, on Sunday. 

Minister Kharel had got his high school education from this school. He received a grand welcome from the district people.

The Minister was urged to play a vital role in maintaining good governance with zero tolerance to corruption. 

On the occasion, Minister Kharel reminded that he was inducted to the government made on the back up of Gen Z protest, which raised voice for change in the country. So, he was committed to good governance. "As I assumed the ministry, I've seen further anomalies, so it may take time for cleaning. However, I'm firm to work for good governance," he shared.

The Gen Z had voiced for opportunity, education, health, guarantee of jobs and end of corruption, he said, adding that he would try his best to deliver as per Gen Z spirit. 

The Minister said he had not forgotten his birthplace- Sunkhani of Kalinchowk-8 in Dolakha district. However, limiting oneself to a particular place is not just and enough at such situation, Kharel argued.

He urged the guardians and teachers not to involve in politicizing education and schools, but devote to students' welfare.

Minister Kharel took opportunity to make aware the parents not get swayed by political leaders and ruin future of family and children. Good persons can be picked by breaking the illusion- 'all parties are bad'. (RSS)
