One dead, two injured in Madi road mishap

By Basanta Parajuli, Narayangadh, Nov 22: One person died in an accident in Bagahi, Madi.

The accident occurred at around 6:15 AM on Saturday when a large Metro Deluxe bus, vehicle(03-001 Kha 2887) en route towards Bharatpur to Madi-Thori.

According to Rabindra Khanal, spokesperson for the District Police Office, Chitwan, the deceased has been identified as Phiral Matto, aged 61 of Madi Municipality-1

Preparations are currently underway to bring the body to Bharatpur.

He also said that a study is being conducted into the cause of the accident.

After the accident, the bus went out of control and overturned off the road. 

Two passengers on the bus sustained injuries after the bus overturned. 

The injured have been identified as a 5-year-old, Debash Mahattto, of Ward-2, and Sunita Mahatto of Bharatpur Metropolitan Municipality-27.

They are currently undergoing treatment at Baghauda Hospital of Madi and are in normal condition.
