Kathmandu, Nov 22: Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Kulman Ghising, who also serves as the Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport as well as the Minister for Urban Development has emphasized the need for proper sewage management.
During an inspection of the Jambudanda area in Gokarneshwor municipality-5 along the Guheshwori–Gokarna section this morning, the Minister echoed the need for improving sewage systems along the corridor, upgrading the roadway, and ensuring cleanliness of the surrounding area and the river. He added that keeping the river clean is essential for maintaining the cleanliness of the city as a whole.
The Minister also pledged to make efforts towards that end and said that efforts are in progress to build small artificial ponds in the area to enhance its beauty. (RSS)
