Kathmandu, Nov 15: The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has said all preparations have been completed for the second season of the Nepal Premier League.
The franchise-based Twenty20 league will commence on Monday, November 17, and will conclude on December 13. According to CAN General Secretary Paras Khadka, the team that wins the league will receive a cash prize of Rs 11 million. The Janakpur Bolts had clinched the title in the first edition.
Similarly, the first runner-up team will receive Rs 5.1 million, the third-place team will get Rs 2.5 million, and Rs 1.5 million will be awarded to the fourth-place team.
A total of eight franchise-based teams are competing in the league. The Janakpur Bolts and the Kathmandu Gurkhas will face each other in the opening match of the League, which will take place at the Tribhuvan University cricket ground in Kirtipur. (RSS)
