Tanahun, Nov 13: Blacktopping of at least 18-km (two lanes) has been completed on the western section (Pokhara-Jamune) of the Pokhara–Muglin road.
One way blacktopping has been completed on 37-km of the 38-km road to this date.
According to engineer of the section, Sahanshila Kayastha, the road's physical progress has so far reached 59.89 percent and financial progress 47.80 percent.
“Two-way blacktopping has been completed on 29.61-km four lane and one-way blacktopping on 7.79-km two-lane", she informed.
Likewise, 14-km blacktopping along with the construction of two culverts has been carried out in the current fiscal year.
As shared, 11 out of 12 bridges and 105 culverts have also been constructed in the western section.
In city areas, the road will have six lanes including a ‘service lane’ and four lanes elsewhere.
According to the project, the road from Seti Bridge in Pokhara to Lower Gagangaun will have six lanes. (RSS)
