Kathmandu, Oct.30: Captain of Nepali cricket team Rohit Kumar Paudel has scored a century in a match against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) today under the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2.
Winning the toss at a match being held at the ICC Academy Ground in Dubai, UAE, Nepal chose to bat first, where Captain Paudel scored 100 runs off 126 balls, including five fours and one sixes.
Opener Ashif Sheikh added 35 runs, Arif Sheikh made 27 runs, and Dipendra Singh Airi made 23 runs. Karan KC scored 13 runs to contribute to the total, while the other batsmen could not add significant runs
For the UAE, Zahid Ali took four wickets, and Junaid Siddique claimed three wickets, while Muhammad Rohid and Haider Ali took one wicket each to restrict Nepal’s total.
The UAE will begin their reply shortly.
