Parliament Secretariat urges return of looted items

Kathmandu, Sept.15: The Federal Parliament Secretariat has urged the return of goods and materials that were taken by unauthorized people from the building of the Federal Parliament during the protest by the Gen Z youth on September 9.

Issuing a notice on Monday by the Federal Secretariat, it has stated that the printers, scanners, cameras, televisions, monitors, microphones, mixers, speakers, including photocopy machines and electronic equipment, were taken by unauthorized individuals.

In a notice issued by Deputy Secretary of the Planning Branch Raj Rai, the Secretariat has requested anyone with information about the whereabouts of these items or the people in possession of them to contact them. It has also appealed to those who may have video footage of the theft to share it, assuring that the identities of informants will be kept confidential.

The Parliament building in New Baneshwor and vehicles in the building premises were vandalized, set on fire, and looted during the Gen Z protest that was held on September 9.
