By Our Correspondent,Sulikot, Aug,1: Rangrung Waterfall, located in Sulikot Rural Municipality-3 of Barpak, Gorkha, has become a destination of attraction for both domestic and international tourists. Since tourists often visit Rangrung Waterfall before heading to the historically and touristically significant Barpak, it has also become a popular point of interest.

Chairperson of Barpak Sulikot Rural Municipality, Bishnu Bhatta, informed that Rangrung Waterfall, regarded as a natural treasure, has been continuously flowing since ancient times and, due to its captivating beauty, has been increasingly attracting both domestic and international tourists.

According to him, due to the promotion of the waterfall on social media as well, tourists visiting the Gorkha district headquarters have started making a stop at Rangrung Waterfall on their way to Barpak.

Chairperson Bhatta of Barpak Sulikot Rural Municipality stated that the waterfall, cascading down nearly 500 metres through the middle of the forest with a thundering sound, draws crowds of hundreds of tourists every day.

Barpak Sulikot Rural Municipality has identified the area as a tourism site and included it in its policies and programmes, even preparing a DPR. Since it is not possible to manage everything with the municipality’s own budget, Chairperson Bhatta stated that efforts are also underway to secure additional funding from the federal and provincial governments.

Chairperson Bhatta said that the rural municipality is working on the DPR to further organize Rangrung Waterfall. “As the number of tourists coming to take photos, shoot videos, and make TikToks at this waterfall is increasing day by day, the municipality is actively working to manage and develop Rangrung Waterfall,” he stated.

It has been reported that hundreds of tourists now visit Gorkha's Rangrung Waterfall on Fridays and Saturdays. Prakash Pokhrel, a domestic tourist from Siranchowk Rural Municipality-4, shared that visitors enjoy the waterfall by observing the scenic view from top to bottom along the Rangrung stream and spending time in its refreshing surroundings.

Chief Administrative Officer Subash Ale stated that at Rangrung Waterfall, a historical and tourist destination in Barpak Sulikot Rural Municipality, the thundering sound of the cascading water attracts crowds of people who stop their vehicles to bathe in the waterfall and take photographs.
