DPM Paudel inspects ongoing projects

By Our Correspondent,Butwal, July 27: Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel conducted an on-site inspection of ongoing and new development projects in Ward No. 6 of Tilottama Municipality in Rupandehi district.

He visited the ward on Friday evening to observe the progress of both ongoing and newly initiated schemes. He inspected the Naukatti Road located in Tilottama–6 and the under-construction 15-bed municipal hospital at Gorkatta in Ward No. 6. The facility, Anandaban Health Post, is being upgraded into a municipal hospital.

The estimated cost for the construction and operation of the hospital is Rs. 170 million. About 14 katthas of land required for the hospital was donated by late Gopal Ojha, Amrit Prasad Ojha, and Shambhu Prasad Ojha. Finance Minister Paudel had laid the foundation stone for this hospital in 2020.

During his visit to the hospital construction site, he was briefed on the current status of the project. Residents requested the DPM to ensure the completion of the hospital before the 2027 deadline.

Jageshwari Devi Chaudhary, Deputy Mayor of Tilottama Municipality, and Ganesh Pathak, Chairperson of Ward No. 6, who accompanied DPM Paudel, said that the hospital is a matter of pride for the entire municipality and urged its early completion.

In response, he assured that the government would provide all possible support to complete the hospital and called for the acceleration of the construction work.

Similarly, DPM Paudel also visited Paschim Pahuni Secondary School and Mokshadham, where he observed the current conditions. He inspected two bridges in Kunjalapur, as well as a road project from Kunjalapur to the municipal hospital, Kunja Park and irrigation canal from Gorakatta to Ganeshpur. 

He was also briefed on the ground realities of these projects of combined investment of Rs. 60 million.
