Nhyoo Bajracharya to feature in Paleti

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, July 21: The musical programme Paleti, regularly organised on the last Friday of every English month, will feature the renowned music composer Nhyoo Bajracharya this time. 

Scheduled for the last Friday and Saturday (July 25 and 26) of this month, the event will also showcase vocals by Banika Pradhan, accompanying Bajracharya.

According to a press statement issued by Nepalaya, this edition of Paleti will be hosted by poet and lyricist Biplav Pratik.

Numerous songs composed by Bajracharya have reached the peak of popularity. Especially admired are songs like Phoolko Aakhama, Na Aau Sapana Bhari, Arbau Manche Haruma, Laija Chari, and Sayauthari Baja, among many others.

He also composed the tune for the song Yo Man Ta Taalau Ho, sung by the legendary Aruna Lama. Bajracharya has also worked on music composition for singer Bachchu Kailash.

Speaking about this edition, coordinator and musician Abhas said, “Nhyoo Bajracharya is a masterful composer who has been actively contributing to Nepali music for a long time. His creations have brought a unique flavour to our music.”

Participating in Paleti for the first time, Nhyoo Bajracharya said, “I see Paleti as a bridge that connects contemporary audience with Nepali modern music.”

Joining Paleti for the first time, singer Banika Pradhan said, “So many legendary figures have graced the Paleti stage, it carries immense prestige. I had long dreamt of singing here.”
