Nepathya to perform in the UK on Aug. 9

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, July 14: The popular folk-rock band Nepathya is all set to perform in the UK after 12 years on August 9. 

According to a press statement issued by Nepalaya, this time, Nepathya’s UK concert is being organised in collaboration with UK-based BSK Entertainment and Parcha Production.

The touring group from Nepal will consist of 14 members, including six band members and eight technicians and managers. On stage, Amrit will be accompanied by Dhruva Lama on drums, Subin Shakya on bass guitar, Niraj Gurung on guitar, Shanti Rayamajhi on Madal, and Dinesh Raj Regmi on keyboards.

It is estimated that over 100,000 Nepalis currently reside in the UK. With this in mind, and carrying with them the essence of Nepali music, Nepathya has placed high priority on this journey to meet the expectations of the diaspora community, as mentioned in the press release. 

In the past three months alone, Nepathya has completed a series of performances across Australia and the United States.

“The upcoming Nepathya concert is set to create another chapter in the history of Nepali music in the UK,” said Dipendra Lama from the local organising team. “Seven thousand tickets have already been sold, and a large number of inquiries are pouring in,” read the press statement.
