Missing Shrestha's body recovered in Begnas Lake

By Phadindra Adhikari, Lekhnath, June 9: The body of a missing person has been recovered from Begnas Lake in Majhikuna, Pokhara Metropolitan City-13, Kaski.

Rajesh Shrestha, aged 43, of Manakamana, Shahid Lakhan Rural Municipaity-3, Gorkha district, went missing while swimming on Sunday.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Hari Bahadur Basnet of the District Police Office, Kaski, the body of Shrestha, who went missing in Begnas Lake while swimming on Sunday evening, was recovered on Monday.

"The body was recovered on Monday through the efforts of locals along with a joint team of Nepal Police and the Armed Police Force, deployed on Sunday evening," said DSP Basnet.

Although there are commercial boat tours, there is no rescue team with boats for rescues in Begnas Lake yet.
