Birgunj Dry Port collects Rs 36.83 billion revenue in nine months

Birgunj (Parsa), May 3: The Birgunj Dry Port customs office at Sirsiya has collected revenue of Rs 36 billion 835 million and 848 thousand in the last nine months of the current fiscal year.    

The office collected 61.34 per cent of its annual target during the period. Information Officer at the Office, Yubaraj Bhattarai, said the revenue collection has been increasing in recent months.    

The customs office had collected Rs 3.75 billion in the month of Saun, Rs 4.64 billion in Bhadau, Rs 4.36 billion in Asoj and Rs 3.79 billion in Kattik. Similarly, it collected revenue Rs 3.22 billion in Mangsir, Rs 3.56 billion in Push, Rs 4.29 billion in Magh, Rs 4.68 billion in Fagun and Rs 4.5 billion in Chait.    

The Customs Department had set a target to the Birgunj Dry Port customs office of collecting Rs 60.04 billion revenue in the current fiscal year. (RSS)
