Light rain forecast at one or two places of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces today

Kathmandu, May 3: The Westerly and local wind have their influence in the country at present. The moisture-laden wind entering from the Bay of Bengal also has its partial influence in the country's weather, the Meteorological Forecasting Division said.     

The weather is partly to generally cloudy in the hilly region of the country including in Koshi and Sudurpaschim provinces due to this influence and light rain along with lightning is occurring at one or two places of the hilly region of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces at present.    

It will be generally cloudy in the hilly regions of the country including Sudurpaschim, Karnali and Lumbini provinces and partly cloudy in the rest of the country this afternoon. Light to moderate rain accompanied by lightning is likely to occur at a few places of the hilly region including in Sudurpaschim, Karnali and Lumbini provinces and at one or two places in the rest of the country.    

Light snowfall is likely to occur at a few places of the mountainous region of the country, the Division said.

In this context, the Division has urged for taking necessary precautions as this weather condition may affect daily life, agriculture, health, road and air transport. (RSS)
