Kathmandu, May 2: The government is going to administer vaccines to children below 5 years, who missed the last immunization drive, on coming May 14.
Dr Abhiyan Gautam, Head of the Child Health and Immunization Section, Child Welfare Division under the Ministry of Health and Population, said that the nine sorts of vaccines will be administered to the children deprived of vaccines in the recent immunization drive.
Dr Gautam shared that 95 per cent of the children of that age are fully vaccinated at present. The remaining five per cent will be looked out for and will be immunized on that day, he mentioned.
The Ministry has urged the parents of those missed out children to take them to the nearest health facilities and ensure they receive all essential vaccines. (RSS)
