Kathmandu, May 1: Vice-President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav has expressed the belief that there would be support from all sides to make Nepal economically strong, prosperous and socially justifiable by creating environment of cooperation among the government and workers.
In a message of best wishes on the
occasion of World Labour Day (May 1), Vice-President Yadav wished that the Day
should be able to encourage all to involve them wholeheartedly to end child
labour, to provide security to women workers as well as to reforms informal
labour sector.
He mentioned that labour, hard
work, dedication and struggle of workers to build society and development of
the country were valuable.
The Vice-President argued that all
should carryout continuous efforts from their respective places to create
environment to provide proper wages by protecting rights of workers and
improving their living standard.

Similarly, National Assembly Chair
Narayan Prasad Dahal has expressed the confidence that the Labour Day will
inspire the State and the employers to work for the interest of the workers and
the latter to move ahead being united.
In a message of best wishes on the
occasion of the International Workers' Day today, the Upper House Chair said
may the May Day motivate all the labourers to move ahead by being organized and
united for securing their professional rights and interest.
Chairman Dahal said that the
federal democratic constitution promulgated in 2015 as an achievement of great
sacrifice, dedication and struggle of the Nepali people had provided every
worker with the right to wage, facilities and social security according to
their work.
Stating that many Acts and laws
have been made in favour of the working class based on the provisions of the
constitution, he said that it would be meaningful to celebrate the Labour Day
only if those laws and the rights guaranteed by the constitution are
