Co-driver dead, driver injured in Rolpa accident

By Pahalman Gharti, Rolpa, Apr.28: One person died when a cement-carrying trailer truck met with an accident in Rolpa.

According to the District Police Office, Rolpa, Ayush Giri, aged 29, of Hapur, Ghorahi Sub-metropolitan City 11, Dang, the co-driver of the truck, died on the spot.

The accident occurred in the  Duikholi of Triveni Rural Municipality -2, Rolpa, along the  Shahid Marg road section, when the vehicle (Na 1 Ka 6968)  veered off 150 meters down the road into a river. 

The driver of the tractor, Krishna Prasad Dangi, aged 30, of Paribartan Rural Municipality-2, has sustained serious injury. 

Police said the injured are undergoing treatment at the Rapti Institute of Health Sciences, Ghorahi, Dang.
