Unko Sweater Evening with Sujan Chapagain held

By Our Correspondent,Kaski, Apr. 28: As the release date approaches, the film unit of Unko Sweater (The Woollen Sweater) has intensified its promotional activities.

 The film unit has been travelling to different districts across the country, interacting directly with audience.

 In this process, the team hosted a programme titled ‘Unko Sweater Evening Pokhara with Sujan Chapagain’ at Phewa Lake in Pokhara.

To promote the film, the production team adopted a new approach, launching ‘Unko Sweater Evening with Sujan Chapagain’ from Pokhara.

In the presence of the Pokhareli audience, three theme posters of the film were unveiled by the film production company Artmandu.

Sujan Chapagain, who is also the music director of the film, performed popular songs such as Makhmali, Kafle and Phool.

 Among them, the recently released song Kafle has been trending on social media.

Previously released songs Makhmali and Phool have already won the hearts of audience.

 Surpassing even the film’s actors in popularity, Chapagain received numerous ‘once more’ calls from the audience.

Lead actor Bipin Karki said that the film is original and requested the Pokhareli audience to watch it.

 Director Nabin Chauhan, while informing that the team is on a promotional tour, emphasised the anticipation for the release date on May 8.

Actor Maotse Gurung said that every artist wishes to work under a good banner and recalled that he immediately accepted the offer when it came from Artmandu.

 He added that Artmandu’s songs have garnered high views and expressed hope that the film would also win the audience’s hearts.

The event also commemorated the 90th birth anniversary of Jhalakman Gandharva.

 Child artists from Jhalakman Sarangi Pathshala, Batulechour, performed songs and played the sarangi (a traditional Nepali instrument) in his honour.

Jhalakman, who recorded over 250 songs, significantly helped introduce the sarangi to the world through his music.

As a highlight of the event, Alex Biswokarma (Paras), Pariksha Limbu performed a lively dance to the Kafle song.

 Artists from Pokhara Kala Kendra also presented dances, and even foreign tourists visiting Pokhara enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere.

The next edition of Unko Sweater Evening with Sujan Chapagain is scheduled to be held in Dharan, Sunsari, on April 30.

The film is set to be released worldwide on May 9. Bipin Karki, Miruna Magar, Wilson Bikram Rai, Alex Paras, Pariksha Limbu, Sunil Pokharel, Maotse Gurung, Prem Subba, Suraj Tamu,  and others have done the film.
