Six year old dies in house fire in Gulmi

 By Toplal Aryal, Resunga, Apr.26:  A six-year-old child dies in a house fire in Naya Gaun of Dhurkot Rural Municipality-1, of Gulmi district. 

According to the locals, the youngest son of Mani Nepali, Bibek Nepali, aged 6, died in a house fire. Bibek and his sister Ashmi Nepali, who were home alone at the time of the incident, were playing with a lighter. Bibek set fire to a pile of straw near the barn. 

Sister Asmi ran away screaming. However, her brother was unable to escape because he had entered the barn and died of burns, said neighbor Bishnu Kuwar.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Ganga Bahadur Saru, spokesperson of the District Police Office, Gulmi, even though locals and police teams arrived on site shortly after the fire broke out, nothing could be done. 6-year-old Bibek Nepali died in a fire. 

The fire destroyed a two-story, mud-and-stone, tin-roofed hut, police said. 

The child's body has been kept at Gulmi Hospital in Tamghas for a postmortem.
