Three children die, mother injured after consuming poison

By Vijay Kumar Sah, Dhalkebar, April 22: Three children have died and their mother injured after consuming poison at Sahidnagar Municipality - 5, Basudevpatti in Dhanusha. 

According to the Spokesperson of the District Police Office, Dhanusha Varun Bahadur Singh, Sushil Sah's eight-year-old son Aditya Sah, four-year-old daughter Akriti Sah and two-year-old daughter Arushi Sah died due to consuming poison. The health condition of the injured 30-year-old' wife, Babita Sah said to be critical. 

Three seriously injured children were taken to the Provincial Hospital in Janakpur, where they were declared dead during the treatment. Seriously injured Babita has been receiving treatment in the same hospital. 

According to the Police, from the preliminary research, it has been found that Babita had fed poison to the three children on Monday evening around 6:40 and consumed herself attempting suicide.

Police said that the real cause of the incident is yet to be found. Based on preliminary research, it has been guessed that Babita may have stepped up to suicide due to a family problem or a mental problem.
