Bharatpur, April 17: The Chitwan Milk has manufactured powder by processing 11.5 million liters of milk in a year.
The powder milk in the quantity has
been manufactured from the milk collected from farmers by the end of Chaitra
(April 13) last year.
According to Durga Prasad Parajuli,
Manager of the factory in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-1, Thimura, 45,000 liters
of milk is being processed daily. Milk collection has declined with the rise in
the temperature.
He said that up to 25,000 liters of
milk was collected daily up to Chaitra (April 13) last year. "The
consumption of curd increases with the rise in temperature", he said,
adding, "The milk collected for powder and butter production also
decreases".
Milk is collected from dairies from
Mechi to Mahakali for powder and butter manufacturing. Powder milk is consumed
in the ice cream and biscuit factory.
After the resumption of industries
closed for three years after the 2015 AD earthquake, the situation of milk
holiday has come to an end.
Kishore Bagale, President of the
District Milk Producers' Cooperative Association, shared that the farmers have
been benefited from processing of milk and manufacturing of powder milk and
