Taksar (Bhojpur), April 6: The Chief Minister's Cup Men's National Volleyball Tournament begins today with the participation of five provinces.
According to Sangram Kirati,
General Secretary of District Volleyball Association, Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki,
Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces are taking part in the tournament. The
tournament will continue until April 10.
All games are to be played at the
ground in Kodar of Bhojpur Municipality-7.
The Koshi Province Sports
Development Board is the main sponsor of the tournament, with technical support
from the Koshi Province Volleyball Association.
The winner of the tournament will
receive a cash prize of Rs 300,000 while the second and third will walk home
with Rs 175,000 and Rs 80,000 respectively, said Bindra Kumar Tamang, chair of
the District Volleyball Association. The best volley ball player in each
category will be awarded Rs 50,000 each. (RSS)
