CPN (US) to protest attack on its office

Kathmandu, April 5: The CPN (Unified Socialist) has decided to hold a nationwide protest against vandalism and arson meted out on its party office, Kathmandu.

The party also demanded action against those involved in the attack on party office made during a demonstration at Tinkune on March 28.     

Central publicity department chief of the party, Prakash Jwala, informed that the protest was being organized in a bid to create a pressure on the government to conduct a fair probe and take action against the attackers.     

Even a taskforce has been formed under the coordination of deputy general secretary of the party, Ram Kumar Bhattarai, to collect details on damages of property at party office.     

The party is going nationwide to hold programmes and gather views from people on recent political development, international situation, people's aspiration, and to work for good governance and protection of federal republic. Programmes would feature issues like poverty alleviation, good governance and people's concern.(RSS)
