By TRN Online, Kathmandu, April 5: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli returned home on Saturday after completing an official visit to Thailand and attending the 6th Summit of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC).
According to RSS, Deputy Prime Minister, Prakash Man Singh, Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Badri Prasad Pandey, high-ranking officials of the government and chiefs of security agencies welcomed Prime Minister Oli at VVIP Longue of Tribhuvan International Airport upon his arrival.
Prior to this, a contingent of the Nepali Army accorded a guard of honour to the Prime Minister. Prime Minister Oli had left here for Thailand on April 1 leading a 21-member delegation at the friendly invitation of Prime Minister of Thailand, Paetongtarn Shinawatra.
During his stay in Thailand, PM Oli held discussions with his counterparts of various countries including Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the various issues of mutual welfare and interest.
The Prime Minister addressed the 6th BIMSTEC Summit on April 4.
