Prime Minister Oli leaves for Thailand visit

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, April 1: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli left for Thailand on Tuesday for an official visit.

Before departing for Thailand, Prime Minister Oli was accorded a guard of honour by the Nepali Army at Tribhuvan International Airport. 

Deputy Prime Minister and Urban Development Minister Prakash Man Singh and Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak among other dignitaries were presented at the airport to see him off.

This is the first time that a PM of Nepal is formally visiting Thailand after 65 years of establishing a diplomatic relationship between Nepal and Thailand. A courtesy meeting will be held between PM Oli and the King of Thailand during the visit. 

The PM will be holding a meeting with well-known businessmen in Thailand and will address the Asian  Institute of Technology. PM Oli will address the BIMSTEC summit on April 4.
