HoR passes Constitutional Council Bill

Kathmandu, March 31: The House of Representatives (HoR) has unanimously passed the First Amendment Bill Related to the Constitutional Council (Duties, Functions, Rights and Work Procedure).

Earlier, On behalf of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Minister for Communications and Information Technology Prithvi Subba Gurung presented a proposal in the meeting of the lower house of the Federal Parliament today seeking discussion on the Constitutional Council (First Amendment) Bill, 2079 BS along with the report of the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee.     

With the passage of the bill, the way has been cleared for the appointment of office-bearers of the constitutional bodies. (RSS)
