'Friday's violent incident is criminal offense'

Kathmandu, March 29: CPN (Unified Socialist) Chair Madhav Kumar Nepal has demanded the government to investigate into the violent activities of the former King's supporters and take necessary action against the perpetrators. 

Talking to journalists at the Aloknagar-based party central office today, Chair Nepal urged the government to immediately carry out investigation into the criminal activities such as vandalism and arson in physical structure in different places and bring those involved in such unconstitutional, illegal and anti-system acts. 

Senior leader and former Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal said the incident which was meant to destabilize the law and order of the country was non-political and condemnable. 

He stressed the need for the government to take the evolving situation of the country seriously and further strengthen the responsibility for protecting the lives of the citizens along with peace and security. 

Leader Rajendra Pandey called upon all pro-change patriotic and revolutionary forces to unite and bring the culprits involved in the incident to justice immediately. 

Leaders of various political parties, including the Home Minister, had reached the central office of the CPN (Unified Socialist) today to enquire about the damage caused by the royalist supporters on Friday. (RSS)
