Kathmandu, March 29: The Nepal Bar Association (NBA) has condemned the acts of vandalism, arson and looting, and loss of human lives and physical properties in the protests carried out on Friday by supporters of the former king.
The NBA has also deemed the rally for the former king unconstitutional.
Issuing a press statement today, General Secretary of NBA Anjeeta Khanal expressed sorrow over the loss of human lives and damage to physical property in the demonstration staged by supporters of former royal on Friday.
Likewise, the NBA has expressed deep condolences to the demise of Suresh Rajak, a journalist of Avenues Television, and Sabin Maharjan and expressed heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved families.
Khanal has asked for a fair investigation into the incident, rightful compensation to the victims' families and action against the perpetrators.
Similarly, the Nepal Bar Association has also urged the government to ensure human right and maintain law and order in society through effective security provisions.(RSS)
