Press Chautari observes media houses bearing loss during demonstration

Kathmandu, March 29: The Press Chautari Nepal has observed the media houses bearing loss during the pro-monarch demonstration on Friday.     

A team headed by Press Chautari Nepal Chair Ganesh Pandey took stock of the status of media suffering loss and journalists injured while collecting news of the demonstration yesterday.     

Chair Pandey expressed sorrow over the incident of assault on media by royalists, and demanded action against the guilty.     

Berating the violent and unruly actions of the demonstrators, he said a big loss and damage was avoided due to tolerance restrained by the State.     

Pandey urged the State authorities to pay attention to the safety of journalists.     

The team had reached the media houses, including Kantipur Television, Annapurna Post, Himalaya TV, and online khabar that were affected in the assault launched by royalist demonstrators.(RSS)
