Kathmandu, March 26 : Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development, Prakash Man Singh, has stressed on quality education to drive the society towards a right course.
In his address to an interaction on
"School Education Bill and Concern of People's Representatives"
organised by the Education Department of the Nepali Congress here today, the
Deputy Prime Minister said the wave of education was seen in the country with
the 1950's revolution and now it is urgent to make it compatible with time.
Now the local levels hold the
rights to implementing the policies for education, and submission from the
bodies concerned is vital to make the Bill further effective, according to the
Minister.
Various mayors and deputy mayors
put their views on the Bill, reflecting the opinions of the local levels.
Department Chief Nain Singh Mahar
said the programme aimed to compile the submissions of the local
representatives' views regarding the Bill. (RSS)
